Fish curry ( fish curry without coconut)

Ingredients:

Fish (any small fish) - 500 gms
Small onion sliced - 50 gms
Garlic sliced - 1 tablespoon
Ginger chopped - 1 tablespoon
Green chillies slited -3-4 no's
Chilli powder - 2-3 tablespoon
Turmeric powder -1-2 teaspoon
Tomato -1-2
Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup
Mustard - 1/2 teaspoon
Fenugreek - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Curry leaves
Coconut oil (preferably)

Method :

In a clay pot pour 1 tbsp oil and temper with fenugreek & mustard also curry leaves.

Saute ginger,garlic and onions and once it's half fried add tomatoes & green chillies till it is soft.

Add salt, chilli powder,turmeric powder and pour little water to boil for 5-10 min

Add tamarind juice and boil till the oil shows on top.

Finally add the fish and sufficient water for gravy consistence and boil in slow flame.

Tangy spicy fish curry is ready for your lunch!!
