Paneer masala
Ingredients:
Paneer cubes - 250 gms
Onion - 2 medium
Tomato - 1 medium
Ginger & Garlic chopped - 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon - 3-4 small sticks
Clove - 2-3
Saunf / perum jeerakam - 1/2 teaspoon
Groundnuts - 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli powder- 2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Corriander powder - 1 teaspoon
For garnishing:
Corriander leaves finely chopped - 2 tablespoon.
Greenchillies chopped - 1 teaspoon/ 1 chilli
Milk - 1/4 glass
Methi leaves dry (optional)- 1 teaspoon
Butter (optional)
Preparation :
In a pan pour little oil and fry the paneer cubes till soft.Keep it aside and in the same pan roast groundnut till the raw smell is gone. Keep that also aside and powder it once it's cooled.
Then put garlic, ginger,onion and finally chopped tomatoes and saute till its soft.
Once it's cooled grind it coarsely in a mixer along with powdered groundnut and keep.
After that in a pan or kadai pour little oil and put saunf, cinnamon and cloves then add the grinded mix and saute for few minutes. Add corriander,chilli powder & turmeric powder and mix it well and add little water and make the gravy consistence. Add salt and sugar along with paneer cubes and bring it to boil.
Once it starts boiling put dry methi leaves ,corriander leaves and chopped greenchillies. Finally add milk,butter and switch off the stove.
Mouth watering yummy paneer masala with phulkas/ rotis / chappathis will be the best choice..
