Mushroom Biriyani

Ingredients

Mushroom - 200 gms
Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Onion - 2 medium
Ginger garlic crushed - 2 tablespoon
Tomato - 1
Green chillies - 2
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Corriander powder - 2 teaspoon
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon - 2 -3 pcs
Star anise - 1-2 pcs
Clove - 3
Corriander & pudina leaves
Salt to taste
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon

Preparation

Soak the rice for 1/2 hr and keep aside.

Wash and cut the mushroom. In a pan saute mushrooms with a pinch of turmeric powder till the water content is removed.

In a pressure cooker, pour oil and put the whole spices and saute the onions.

Once the onion turn transparent, add ginger garlic to fry till raw smell is gone. After that add chopped tomatoes and slited green chillies to saute till tomato is soft.

Add mushrooms and finally add all the powders and saute for 2-3 min.

Then add the rice, corriander leaves / pudina leaves and stir for 5 mins

Pour 1 and 1/2 cup of water and ghee to pressure it for one whistle. Keep until the steam is gone by itself.

Yummy mushroom biriyani is ready to have with raita.
